Today I am kicking off March MADness, and I am so excited to introduce you to Wish Upon A Name.
Katie and I met in the dusty hallows of history (i.e., college), but our hearts were knit by our shared adoption experiences. Side note: When you adopt, you join a club–not one in which deals are made with secret handshakes, negotiated in smoke-filled rooms (necessarily)–but you join a family in which other people *just understand* and will offer you the blood in their veins if it will help your cause.
Anyway. Katie and I are sisters in this sort of adoption underground. So I am pleased to share what Katie has to say–
In her words:
On Christmas day 2010, we excitedly began the process of adopting. Little did we know what amazing blessings the next two years held in store for us.
We were matched with our daughter – a seven month old cherub from S. Korea – and miraculously, 6 weeks later, I was pregnant. However, what should have been an incredibly joyous discovery was clouded by our agency’s policy of terminating adoption rights if a pregnancy occurred during the adoption process. Many hours were spent in the following weeks praying, gathering support, and petitioning for our daughter’s adoption. Thankfully, in the end, we were granted permission to adopt Zoe.
Six months later, Max, our “little package. BIG surprise” arrived early but in perfect health and six months later we brought our daughter home from Korea.
Now two years later, we have grown into a family of four and are loving every moment.
“WISH Upon A Name” was born out of an obsession for photographing my newborn son. I wanted a way to personalize these photos and ultimately “branded” him in the process. And that’s when it hit me – every one deserves a logo to celebrate their individuality – babies, siblings, families, grown ups and even our pets!
After our one-of-a-kind, custom logo design process, we will help you create unique products such as baby announcements, clothing, and much more…the possibilities are endless. www.facebook.com/WishUponAName
AND … to show her love, Katie has generously created a printable for all of us. Click the link below the photo to access your free PDF.
March is looking brighter already. Thanks, Katie!
